Near-Surface Bedrock Structural Characterization Using Optical Televiewer Surveys
How Optical Televiewer Imaging Improved Geological and Geotechnical Site Characterization
DGI completed Optical Televiewer (OTV) surveys to characterize shallow bedrock in Ontario. High resolution borehole imaging identified key structural features within migmatitic rocks and biotite gneisses. By collecting continuous, depth referenced borehole imagery, DGI delivered detailed structural characterization of the subsurface, including fracture orientation, foliation, and lithological contacts. The project improved confidence in geological interpretation and provided high quality structural data to support future geotechnical investigations and hydrogeological evaluations.
With over 25 years of experience and more than 1000 projects completed worldwide, DGI Geoscience has established itself as a trusted partner in the geoscience field. Our commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate data ensures that clients can make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
